Project Summary

Blueleaf Creative worked directly with the founder of Assett Commercial Services to develop a new trifold brochure template as part of a larger refresh of the company’s marketing materials. Assett needed a polished, franchise-ready sales piece that could explain its proprietary Quality Protocol and service promise consistently as local-market information changed. The finished brochure gives Assett a reusable print marketing system, customizable with franchisee information for local sales use.

Client Background

Assett Commercial Services provides commercial cleaning and janitorial services for offices, healthcare environments, daycares, education facilities, fitness centers, retail spaces, religious facilities, financial institutions, auto dealerships, and other commercial properties. The brand’s service message centers on reliability, accountability, trained staff, and consistent facility care across its franchise network.

Challenge

Creating a franchise-ready sales brochure that explained a stronger service promise

Assett needed more than a refreshed brochure design. The company needed a reusable sales tool that could support franchisee conversations, introduce the brand clearly, and explain what made its cleaning service different. The previous materials were outdated and could not be easily updated with franchisee information, and the copy needed to be reworked so the brochure could communicate the new service proposition more clearly to prospects tired of managing recurring cleaning issues.

The brochure had to explain Assett’s service promise, make the service system easy to understand quickly, support sales meetings and introductions, give franchisees a localized print piece, and allow future updates without rebuilding the brochure from scratch. The core communication challenge was turning a service model into a clear, visual, easy-to-follow brochure story.

Design Approach

The brochure was built around a direct sales message: facility managers should not have to chase, manage, or repeatedly correct their cleaning provider. Instead of leading with generic janitorial claims, the brochure frames the problem first, then introduces Assett’s proprietary Quality Protocol as the system behind the promise, connecting the brand’s guarantee to the operational steps behind it.

The trifold format was organized so each panel had a defined role. The cover introduces the primary promise. Interior panels explain the service system and proof points, including a four-level scale showing where a facility’s current cleaning experience stands. Supporting panels reinforce staff vetting, accountability, and local contact information. This kind of deliberate panel structure and restructured white space is not just a visual preference: greater white space and a less cluttered layout signal higher perceived brand quality and trustworthiness, while dense layouts tend to signal the opposite (Pracejus, Olsen & O’Guinn, 2006).

Blueleaf developed a custom visual system for the proprietary Quality Protocol so Assett’s process could be understood at a glance, giving structure to the service promise and showing prospects that the company’s approach is based on repeatable steps. The brochure was also designed as a reusable template, allowing franchisee contact details, QR code areas, and local information to be updated while preserving the master brand layout.

Blueleaf rewrote the existing content to make the brochure more direct, benefit-driven, and easier to scan, focusing on the prospect’s pain points, the service promise, and the reason Assett’s process is different. Client-supplied imagery was reviewed and refined as part of the design process to feel more credible and aligned with the brand’s commercial cleaning message.

Instead of relying on outdated materials that were difficult to update, Assett now has a professional trifold brochure template that supports sales meetings, local introductions, and franchisee prospecting.

Because the brochure was developed as an editable InDesign template with packaged assets and usage instructions, Assett can continue building from the same visual and messaging system across future marketing materials, without rebuilding the piece from scratch each time a market or detail changes.
